Final Cyborg

This is my final Cyborg image.
I achieved this image by using one of my own images
that I had produced at university in the studio.
I adjusted the lighting in the background to be whiter as it was too dark.
I then began layering images of different parts of cameras all over the body of the image.
Then used the eraser tool to delete parts of the body to reveal the camera parts.

This image was great but it still did not exactly get my message across.
It was not clear enough as to what it was.
So I added text of 'You Are What You Use' and I believe this really helps
and shows my meanings and message.

Therefore I came up with this image above using an image of my own
that had a person sat down in a chair.
I then began layering images of camera parts
and equipment and adding them to the body of the image.
It was a development that I really liked.
It was not perfect and needed work so I wanted to create something better and striking.
Something that got my message across.

Camera man

I decided that I needed my image to be a person,
that was made up of all parts of a camera.
So I began developing different ideas.
This first idea (the image above) was a quick idea
using camera equipment to make up a person.
I thought it was a good idea however to develop this further,
I knew I need to use a picture of a person for a basic idea of human shape.

Silhouette Nikon

I used the original image of the layered cameras and added a silhouette over the top.
The silhouette was to show the person/human
and the cameras behind were the technology that the person uses.
This image again does not really show the human becoming part of the technology,
So I am going to think about more ideas of the human becoming or even already being part of technology.

Star Trek 'Borgs'

The Borg are a fictional pseudo-race of cybernetic organisms depicted in the Star Trek universe associated with Star Trek. The Borg use abduction and "assimilation" (enforced cybernetic enhancement, connection to the hive mind) as a means of "achieving perfection".
Aside from being the main threat in Star Trek: First Contact, the Borg play major roles in The Next Generation and Voyager television series, primarily as an invasion threat to the United Federation of Planets, and serve as the way home to the Alpha Quadrant for isolated Federation starship Voyager. The Borg have become a symbol in popular culture for any juggernaut against which "resistance is futile".
The Borg manifest as cybernetically-enhanced humanoid drones of multiple species, organized as an interconnected collective, the decisions of which are made by a hive mind, linked by subspace radio frequencies. The Borg inhabit a vast region of space in the Delta Quadrant of the galaxy, possessing millions of vessels. They operate solely toward the fulfilling of one purpose: to "add the biological and technological distinctiveness of other species to [their] own" in pursuit of "perfection". The concept of perfection is the unifying idea at the core of the Borg. The pursuit of an unemotional, mechanical perfection is the Borg's only motivation. This is achieved through forced assimilation, a process which takes individuals and technology, enhancing and controlling them.
In their first introduction (Q Who?), little information is given about the Borg, their origins or intentions. In nearly all their encounters, they exhibit no desire for negotiation or reason, only assimilation. Exhibiting a rapid adaptability to any situation or threat, the Borg become one of the greatest threats to Starfleetand the Federation. The ideas of a Borg Queen and central control are introduced later. Representatives for the Borg collective are occasionally employed to act as a go-between in more complicated plot lines.
In Star Trek, attempts to resist the Borg become one of the central themes, with many examples of successful resistance to the collective, both from existing or former drones and assimilation targets. It is also demonstrated that it is possible to survive assimilation (most notably Jean-Luc Picard), and that drones can escape the collective (most notably Seven of Nine), and become individuals, or exist collectively without the need for forced assimilation of others. They are notable for being a main antagonist in more than one series but never appeared in the original Star Trek.

Photoshop Edits - I am Nikon

I created these two images on Photoshop.
Firstly I found an image on Google of a Nikon camera.
I copied this layer numerous times and adjusted the size and angle of each one,
by using the free transform tool and covered the whole blank document.
I then got the Nikon logo'I AM NIKON' and pasted this over the top of the camera images,
then cut out the words using the selective tool to reveal the cameras underneath.

I thought that the 'I AM NIKON' logo would be a good example to show people are technology.
On the adverts they show people doing certain things in their life using a camera then saying 'I AM NIKON'.

After looking at these images I do not feel that they get across my message
of people becoming part of technology.
So I intend to develop more images.
